Root String Quartet
Formed in 2024 at the welcoming B.O.T.A. Space in Lisbon, the Root String Quartet brings together four talented musicians from different backgrounds: a violinist from Portugal, another from Brazil, a viola player from Germany and a cellist from Brazil.
United by their passion for music and their commitment to education in social and community contexts, the group is dedicated to taking their musical performance beyond traditional concert halls.
With an eclectic musical style, the Root String Quartet explores a diverse repertoire that ranges from classical to popular, including contemporary genres and cultural influences from the countries of its members. The quartet’s versatility reflects not only the richness of its origins, but also its desire to connect people and cultures through music.
