With unusual arrangements, piano, violin and voice bye bye brasil dives into the unknown width of the Brazilian music – without clichés, without drums, trumpets and a Samba-Percussion-Section of 80. Sometimes fragile and reduced, then again rhythmically impulsive, the duet improvises through the musical range of Brazil and searches for the energy and intensity on a poetical level. In distinct interpretations of the touching melodies and melancholic lyrics, Kristina van de Sand and Kostia Rapoport explore their idea of Brazil, leave their musical backgrounds behind and find themselves between the continents.
